We hope your summer is treating you well!
We wanted to give you an update into what we've been doing over the past several months!
From June to now, the end of August and the end of Summer, we have been mainly staying close to home, but busy nonetheless. While we typically don’t do a lot of concerts during this season (with weddings, VBS and Summer Camps taking over most church and community schedules) we were blessed to lead worship quite a bit regionally, and Tim provided pulpit supply for several local churches. We were privileged to be able to expand our relationship with local and regional ministries! One of the big highlights of our summer was leading worship at Bond Christian Service camp in Mulberry Grove, IL. We spent the week hanging out with the 4th-5th graders, had opportunities to share about our ministry and encourage them to consider how they might use the gifts God has given them to reach unbelievers in their sphere of influence. Tim gave the closing message for the week and several kids made a first time decision for Christ, as others made a commitment to rededicate and or become baptized. It was an amazing time to witness God at work in the lives of these young people in our region!
We also had another AMAZING summer of Exploring the Arts, which is a free weekly arts program for the kids in our community to come, learn, fellowship, and create. We expanded from one class to two this summer, and had a great group of students and volunteers. We closed out the season with a community open house where the kids got to showcase what they had learned and created over the summer. It’s always beautiful when we can use the arts to meet a need and create opportunities to talk about Jesus with these kids!
We also continued our Worship Coffee House, “Second Saturday,” through the summer. It has been such a cool venue for simply being together around a common need for the Lord. We’ve been inspired by the testimonies that have come out of our time together, even if it’s just once a month. God is so good!
Perhaps the biggest news of the Summer, we completed and released our new album “It Aint Over.” This CD of 10 new songs includes our Top 10 Radio Single “Prisoner of War” along with many brand new songs. Much of this album was written by Cyrus and Sydney. It’s been amazing to watch their styles develop with time, and we’re really proud of how it came together. We celebrated with a CD release party on August 3rd at Saint Elmo Christian Church, our home church. The evening included a live play-through of the album as we talked about the writing and meaning of each of the songs, followed by a reception of hors d'oeuvres and fellowship.
It Ain't Over!
In contrast to the summertime, our fall touring schedule is filling up fast! We look forward to seeing many of you on the road as we return to your churches and we are adding some new churches to our itinerary this year as well! Also in the works this fall will be our first ever Hymn Sing night and we are planning on offering a very limited number of Christmas shows.

We Need Your Help...
Since day 1 of our ministry we have trusted the Lord to provide for us 100%, and He has! We never charge a church to come perform and we never will. Our ministry is completely supported by love offerings we take at our live events and by donations from our monthly partners and one time donations from people like you.
While our touring schedule (and by association our income) drop significantly in the summer months, our expenses unfortunately do not. As of today we need to raise an additional $600.00 just to meet August's expenses. Do we trust God will provide? Absolutely! How do we think He will do it? He will do it Through His people, just as He has done from day 1.
Please prayerfully consider making a one time donation or becoming a monthly partner with us before August 31st to help us meet our monthly expenses.
De La CroiX Christian Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry and your donations are completely tax deductible. If you feel led to donate, you can either follow the link below or to mail a check, use the address provided.
A New Phase
Summer 2018 has been a testimony to the fact that although things don’t always go how we expect them to, they are good when you walk in God’s plan. We have experienced His grace and provision so many times in the past few months, many times coming directly through our generous and faithful supporters.
That being said, as we pray through what’s to come, we are collectively beginning to dream a little bigger, dig a little deeper into what this commission means. Shifting gears slightly in light of what God has been teaching us at the crossroads of the Gospel and the arts. More on that soon, for now, thank you for your prayers and support. We’re so grateful.
